I was walking by the river Kelvin today hoping to catch sight of a kingfisher. None was seen but I was delighted to spot four cavorting fox cubs in a field on the other side of the river. What an absolute joy to watch them at play, chasing, leaping, wrestling and rolling. They were a distance away but the big lens did its job and I have cropped the photos to give closer pictures.

These three were particularly active. Here they are chasing each other down towards the river bank.

Wey hey!

Show us your gnashers then!

Go on, gies a fight…

Stopping for a breather…

All pegged out …for a few minutes anyway.

Up until this summer I had never seen any fox cubs ever. Then in France we were lucky to spot three playing. We watched them through binoculars then. It was a thrill to see their Mum turn up and them suckling from her before she shepherded them away into thicket.
Today I got lucky again and I had the bonus of having my big lens with me. A fabulous foursome!
How lucky to see these relaxed in their natural habitat ❤️
